You can also enjoy our current exhibition, which features new works rotating through our home gallery regularly, along with engaging art demos. The public is welcome to attend all our 3rd Thursday Open Houses, held at the VAS Art Center located at 243 Church St NW, 100LL in the Windover Professional Building in Vienna. Back by popular demand, Rosemary Gallick will join our member meeting on April 9th at 7:00 to share her wide-ranging knowledge about the Art of the American Revolution.
Join us to learn more about the painters and sculptors of the day and the influences behind early American art and architecture.
Rosemary will cover the renowned sculptures of George Washington by Houdoun, and Greenough and portraits by Gilbert Stuart and John Trumbull. She'll also introduce the women artists of the period.
Rosemary Gallick is a VAS member and Professor of Art and Art History at Northern Virginia Community College, where she has taught since 1996. She has exhibited her energetic artwork, often on themes of rock'n'roll, throughout the United States. In 2017 and 2020, Rosemary was named Featured Artist for the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Community College Systems .

All the VAS member meeting and free art demo on Thursday, March 12th , Rajendra KC, our fan favorite watercolor teacher, focused on creating a scenic landscape. His work captures the essence of nature and culture, blending years of passion and technique into every piece.
A renowned plein air artist, Raj has won many awards from coast to coast. His paintings are stunning interpretations of the natural beauty in the world around us.
