The Vienna Arts Society hosted a hands-on workshop by popular abstract artist Bryan Jernigan on Sunday January 19, 2025.
Attendees explored color and enhanced their color knowledge, from the basics of the color wheel to transparency and opacity, color tinting, color harmony, color hierarchy and color temperature.
The workshop included six full hours of instruction and a one-hour break for lunch.
Bryan Jernigan has taught for more than 20 years, most recently, at the Art League of Alexandria (VA). He has hosted pastel painting retreats to France, Scotland, and Mexico, and in 2025 he’ll be teaching pastels in the Hudson River Valley and in Costa Brava, Spain.
