Join us at a reception at the Awards Reception on Sunday August 26, 4-6pm. Greet the artists and the show judge, Laura Goyer. After the formal announcement of the 2018, those present will learn the theme for the 2019 Photography Show.

The theme for this Photography Show is “Visual Stories”,  to tell a story in one photograph.

Judge’s criteria: technical excellence, on-theme, and creativity.

Our Judge was Laura Goyer, a Vienna Photographer, who has her studio just across Maple Street. The show includes 38 Photos from 21 photographers, members of Vienna Arts Society, Vienna Photographic Society, non-members, students and seasoned shooters who have impressive skills and publications to their credit.

The theme for this years contest “Visual Stories”.  Judges comment:
Making a likeness of a person, place or thing in itself is not the goal here. The ideal image will use composition, angle, lighting, depth of field and whatever artistic interpretation or enhancement you chose to elevate your photograph from likeness to story. Lead us with your title only, no accompanying stories permitted. If you chose to make a composite, all elements of the image must be created by you. What do you see or feel in a unique way that you could share with our art community?
