Be sure to select your favorite artwork for a Peoples’ Choice award to be presented on Sunday, April 30 from 2 to 5 pm, after WALK ON THE HILL. Gardens in our surrounding Windover Neighborhood will be open to artists for plein air painting and photographing, and we’ll then have the closing reception at the Vienna Art Center.
Walk on the Hill
Our vintage 1900 building is included in the annual Walk on the Hill: Sunday, April 30, 2 – 5 PM, so VAS is expecting 100 visitors the final weekend of our spring show. Members are invited to participate by painting “plein air” and photographing the gardens in our surrounding neighborhood that afternoon.
In addition, VAS will hold a special “small works” sale that weekend On Saturday; 2 – 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm. Artists, bring one “small work” (sale price under $100, and size 144 square inches or smaller). Your entry should be ready to display. Include an easel for table display (write “not for sale” on the easel if it is not to be included in the sale.) Delivery is before 10 am Saturday, April 29. Unsold artworks may be retrieved Monday, May 1, during the show change to “Trees”.
Coming up at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens

Once again, the staff of Meadowlark has invited VAS members to exhibit artwork related to flora and fauna in their beautiful entrance building. Space is limited, and members have been signing up on the clipboard at the Art Center. Hayden Luczka, chair of the show, will be sending details to interested artists in the near future.
